Heather and Ryan’s mini-destination wedding in the Chesapeake Bay will be a laid back yet elegant get-away for family and friends. The pieces are shabby-chic watercolor calligraphy with just the final touches added in the computer.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! (for me anyway) Every year when I see the first pumpkins for sale my heart begins to pitter-patter. Some times I wonder what it would be like to have pumpkins all year round hmmm…….

Custom letterpress, Laura & Tom Invitation Suite

A wedding is reflection of a couple’s personal style. Another couple should not be able to change the name & date on your invitation and have the piece work just as well for them. Unless there is another foodie bride who roller-skated into the arms of a handy man chef, this one will be hard to recycle (which is why I love it so much!)

A Love Story Invitation

This one is complicated, so the story needed to be told. This invitation was collaboration between a copywriter, the bride, and myself. Since the theme was love stories, both the envelope liners have quotes from famous love stories through out the ages. The invitations are mounted on layers of colored paper creating a striped effect.

When times are tough you have to get creative.

If you can’t afford a Christmas tree, improvise! This was a tough year for most people (myself included), so I needed to spread a little joy. I dusted off the old watercolors, and this is what I came up with, Happy Holidays!!!! 

Jenn & Phil Invitation Suite

Even though we were long distance, this project was truly collaboration between Jenn and myself. If the bride is a do-it-yourselfer, pocket envelopes are a great way to go.  They are substantial, but easy. We used: http://www.cardsandpockets.com/pocketfolds.aspx

The concept is classic elegance with a custom monogram tying everything together. This extensive suite included: invitation, RSVP, menu, table numbers, and event program. Every piece was carefully printed, cut out, and mounted by hand (not my hand thankfully). Finally a black satin ribbon with monogrammed seal finished off the package.

The beautifully addressed envelopes are the handy work of professional calligrapher Karol Cohen (215-396-2422).

Retro Home Sweet home

5 years in the city + 5 apartments = lots of confused family and friends who never knew where to send birthday cards. So I thought our first house together deserved an official moving announcement! The white masculine footsteps represent Josh’s path, and the orange high heels represent mine. Eventually we cross paths at our previous apartment, and wind up ending at our new address! Finally our family and friends can use ink instead of pencil when they add us to their address books.
